At the Seminar on Press and Enterprises: Accompanying to promote the development of the private economy, organized by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Ho Chi Minh City on July 4, experts and business owners said that, in addition to the "unleashing" policies from the State, press agencies and the business community need to strengthen connections, cooperation, and mutual support to effectively implement Resolution 68.
Driving force for business community development
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Sinh Group (Ho Chi Minh City) Phan Minh Thong affirmed that Resolution 68 has fueled the spirit of private enterprises to focus on developing production and business. For the first time, private enterprises are allowed to think of themselves as one of the most important driving forces of the economy. If followed systematically, in the next 5 years there will be many developing private enterprises and in the next 10 years there will be a series of leading private enterprises. He called on everyone to be more patient with private enterprises, give them opportunities and support them so that they can take responsibility and become the leading trust of the Vietnamese economy.
Similarly, Mr. Huynh Thanh Van, Chairman of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of S Furniture Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City), said that Resolution No. 68 opens up opportunities for innovative startups to make breakthroughs in development. The business community feels motivated, confident and reassured to plan for the future. Resolution 68 is effectively implemented, and the goal of 2 million businesses operating in the economy by 2030 will certainly be feasible.
In addition to communicating policies, the press is also a channel to convey businesses' concerns and worries to authorities in a timely manner. |
Most Vietnamese enterprises are small and medium-sized, with limited resources. The same goes for innovative startups. They need financial and land support to be able to devote resources to innovation. Many times, due to lack of capital, they are forced to stop, which is a waste. This time, Resolution No. 68 has stipulated a series of policies on exemption and reduction of corporate income tax and personal income tax; policies on land support; establishment of a fund for science , technology and innovation development; human resource training with the goal of implementing a training program to train and develop 10,000 executives... These are all very specific and comprehensive policies for innovative startups to develop.
Promoting the accompanying role of the press
According to VCCI Vice President Vo Tan Thanh, to overcome the limitations of private enterprises, institutional support, resources and especially the support of the press are extremely important.
Resolution 68 emphasizes the need to promote communication, raise awareness and action, arouse the entrepreneurial spirit, start-ups, self-confidence, self-reliance, and national pride of all people to promote the strong development of the private economy. That shows that the press is both an information channel, a companion, and a spiritual driving force, contributing to spreading good models, good stories, creative ways of doing things, encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit and social responsibility of enterprises.
Sharing the same view, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South, Tran Trong Dung, suggested that press agencies and specialized economic press clubs sign cooperation agreements with business associations to create new conditions and impetus for the companionship between businesses and the press. Proactively organize specialized columns and articles, focusing on publications on digital platforms, applying modern journalism methods. Coordinate with units and business associations to organize events, seminars, workshops, field trips, and trade promotion at home and abroad with the participation of private enterprises. In addition, press agencies need to increase the organization of training courses on press communication skills for the staff and communication staff of private enterprises.
On the business side, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Thanh Urban Group Joint Stock Company (Hung Yen province) Pham Thi Nhat emphasized that in order for Resolution 68 to come into effect, the role of the press in fully and accurately conveying information related to the current legal system is indispensable. Especially regulations, circulars, and decrees that directly impact the production and business activities of enterprises. Because if not reflected promptly and fully, it will affect trust and the policy implementation process.
