The zoning plan of the central area of Da Lat includes the areas of the wards: Xuan Huong - Da Lat, Lam Vien - Da Lat, Cam Ly - Da Lat, Lang Biang - Da Lat, which is of key significance in shaping the urban space, improving the quality of life of the people and attracting tourists; at the same time, preserving the unique cultural and architectural values in this area. This is an important legal basis for managing, investing and developing the central area in a systematic, scientific and sustainable manner.

With a total area of 765 hectares, this plan delimits and orients development for the central area, where important historical, cultural, service and tourism works of Da Lat are concentrated.

The planning divides the central area into main functional zones, each with a separate role. Zone A1 (180.87 hectares) will be the center of greenery, tourism services and cultural festivals, including famous places such as Xuan Huong Lake, Cu Hill and Da Lat Flower Garden.

Area A2 (63.85 ha) focuses on trade and tourism services, with the pedestrian street and Da Lat Market as highlights. Other areas such as A3 (cultural and residential area), A4 (provincial administrative center), A5 (residential area combined with tourism services) and A6 (cultural and sports center) are also planned in detail to meet the diverse development needs of the city.

The main objective of the planning is to preserve and promote the natural landscape values and unique architecture of Da Lat, while developing synchronous and modern technical infrastructure. The planning also aims to promote socio-economic development through tourism, trade, services and high-tech agriculture. In particular, the planning focuses on solutions to adapt to climate change, develop green and sustainable urban areas.

To achieve the above goals, the plan also proposes many specific solutions, from upgrading the transportation system, electricity supply, water supply, drainage and waste treatment, to developing clean energy, increasing green areas and water surfaces in urban areas.

Resources for implementing the plan come from the state budget and non-budgetary capital, with the participation of investors inside and outside the province. Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments, branches and localities to closely coordinate to implement the plan effectively and on schedule.

This zoning plan for the central area of Da Lat is of great significance for Da Lat to develop in a green and sustainable direction, maintain its own identity and become a livable city. This plan will create a new look for Da Lat, worthy of being a leading tourist and cultural center of the country.

With the newly approved planning, the center of Da Lat including the wards of Xuan Huong - Da Lat, Lam Vien - Da Lat, Cam Ly - Da Lat, Langbiang - Da Lat will contribute to improving the existing shortcomings in planning work, towards harmonious economic development with the conservation of nature and culture.

However, the success of planning also requires the consensus and support of all people and the determination of all levels of government.
