Can Tho City Party Committee Deputy Secretary participates in international running competition

(NLDO) - Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, is one of 5,000 athletes participating in this race.

On the morning of July 6, in Vi Tan ward, Can Tho city, the 6th Vietcombank Mekong Delta Marathon International Marathon 2025 took place.

This year's race attracted 5,000 domestic and foreign athletes to participate in 4 distances, including: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, is one of the athletes participating in this race.

As a result, in the 5km distance, athletes Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong and Nguyen Van Khang came first; athletes Le Thi Kim Phuong and Do Duy Thang came first in the 10km distance.

For the 21km distance, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan and Hoang Nguyen Thanh finished first; two athletes Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa and Kiptoo Edwin Yebei finished first in the 42km distance.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, this is a race to celebrate the event of Hau Giang province and Soc Trang province merging with Can Tho City (old), establishing the new Can Tho City.
