The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed to resolutely remove obstacles and speed up the progress of key projects.

On August 12, comrade Huynh Quoc Viet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of Working Group No. 02 and members of the group had a working session to inspect the actual progress of implementing key projects and works in the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet and members of Working Group No. 02 inspected the Bac Lieu River embankment.

At the meeting, investors and local authorities reported on the progress, difficulties, and obstacles encountered, and proposed solutions to accelerate disbursement for key projects in the province. According to the Provincial Project Management Board for Agricultural and Rural Development Projects, the total planned public investment capital for 2025 is over 1,080 billion VND, but only over 212 billion VND has been disbursed so far, reaching 19.6% of the plan. The biggest obstacle currently is land clearance.

Some projects still have many households that have not yet handed over the land, such as: Bac Lieu river embankment (over 60 households stuck); Cai Cung storm shelter and fishing wharf (92 households have structures and houses that do not meet compensation conditions). The main reasons are the delay in establishing the Compensation Council, the failure to approve specific land price lists, adjust investment levels, the encroachment of public land, many households facing difficulties need additional support...


Working group No. 02 inspected the actual project of the storm shelter and Cai Cung fishing port (Vinh Hau commune).


Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet emphasized that the projects being implemented are urgent and directly related to people's lives and the socio -economic development of the province. Therefore, he requested departments, branches and localities to coordinate closely, mobilize maximum resources, even work day and night, to complete the disbursement of 100% of the capital plan in 2025.

Regarding site clearance, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested localities to resolutely complete the handover by September 20 at the latest; at the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilization so that people clearly understand the meaning and importance of the project; listen to and promptly resolve legitimate recommendations and pay attention to implementing resettlement work well, creating jobs, and ensuring livelihoods for affected people.

Immediately after the working session, Working Group No. 02 inspected a number of projects: Bac Lieu River Embankment (Bac Lieu Ward, Vinh Trach Ward), Cai Cung Storm Shelter and Fishing Wharf (Vinh Hau Commune), East Sea Dike Construction and Upgrade Project and Dike Sluice System, Riverbed Reinforcement and Erosion Treatment Project (Ganh Hao Commune).
