At the conference, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported on the draft project to arrange and stabilize residents in areas at high risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous communes of the province in the period 2026-2030.
The project aims to arrange and stabilize housing for 2,751 households in 48 mountainous communes. Of which, 488 households in 66 villages and hamlets of 18 communes will be resettled on-site; 266 households in 79 villages and hamlets of 24 communes will be resettled in mixed resettlement areas; and 1,997 households in 65 areas of 37 communes will be resettled in concentrated resettlement areas.

At the same time, the project aims to ensure the construction of infrastructure and public welfare in areas with stable population distribution according to new rural criteria; 100% of commune health stations are solidly built; 100% of villages and hamlets have national grid electricity and cultural activity spots; 99.5% of the population has access to clean water.
Ensuring economic , cultural and social development in conjunction with hunger eradication, poverty reduction, national security and defense, and essential infrastructure construction. The specific objectives are that the poverty rate in mountainous areas will decrease by an average of 4.67% per year; the rate of poor households with access to information and communication services will reach 100%; the rate of trained workers will reach 80% or more; and there will be no more households living in temporary or dilapidated houses.

Also at the conference, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented the draft Project on developing, consolidating and improving the operational efficiency of agricultural cooperatives in Thanh Hoa province, period 2026-2030.
The project aims to develop, consolidate and improve the operational efficiency of agricultural cooperatives in the province in the direction of sustainable development; apply science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; prioritize the development of agricultural cooperatives associated with the development of green economy, circular economy, knowledge economy; expand the scale, attract farmers, producers and agricultural businesses to participate, so that by 2030, agricultural cooperatives will become an important socio-economic model in rural areas; contribute to improving productivity, quality and added value; increase income for farmers; protect the environment, adapt to climate change; create conditions and motivation to attract investment, promote restructuring of the agricultural sector and build new rural areas. By 2030, the province strives to have 881 cooperatives (of which 80 newly established cooperatives; attracting 41,092 members to join cooperatives).

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Van Cuong highly appreciated the sectors that proactively participated in developing the draft projects. In particular, he emphasized the importance and urgency of the work of arranging and stabilizing the population in areas with very high risk, high risk of flash floods, landslides, and rockslides in the mountainous communes of the province.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review the data of households living in areas at very high risk, high risk of flash floods, landslides, and rockslides; during the review process, it is necessary to get opinions from communes in mountainous areas to ensure accuracy. Regarding resettlement locations, it is necessary to get consensus from the people before implementing the project.

Regarding the Project on developing, consolidating and improving the operational efficiency of agricultural cooperatives in the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Van Cuong requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to summarize the period 2021-2025, study and amend the project name to inherit and develop cooperatives to suit the current period.
He also gave specific comments on the targets, tasks and solutions for implementation in the 2025-2030 period and requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to absorb the opinions of the delegates and complete the draft project to ensure the functions and tasks for the sectors and mass organizations to effectively implement.
