Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat (Lam Dong) aims to focus on tourism development

On the morning of July 24th, the first Party Congress of Lam Vien Ward, Da Lat ( Lam Dong province), for the term 2025-2030, officially took place.

The Party Committee of Lam Vien Ward, Da Lat, was established by merging the Party Committees of Wards 8, 9, and 12.

The congress was attended by 240 delegates from 67 party organizations, representing 2,431 party members in the ward.

According to Dang Quang Tu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lam Vien Ward, Da Lat, during the past term, thanks to the close and timely leadership of all levels, along with the efforts and dedication of the Party Committee, government, and people in the area, most targets and tasks related to socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building, and building the political system have been completed.

In high-tech agricultural production, Lam Vien ward in Da Lat maintains a stable area of 710 hectares (average income of approximately 550 million VND/hectare), with a stable area for planting annual crops, increasing income per unit area, and 25 tissue culture facilities producing over 115 million seedlings annually to meet local production needs.

The tourism accommodation system has been invested in and upgraded to meet the diverse accommodation needs of tourists, with 561 establishments currently in operation, including 14 two-star hotels, 4 three-star hotels, 2 four-star hotels, 2 five-star hotels, and 111 tourist villas.

Lam Vien Ward in Da Lat also aims to encourage and facilitate the development of trade, tourism, and services, diversifying products to meet local consumption needs and provide input materials for agricultural production.

Promote cooperation and linkages, encourage investment in the development of new, high-quality tourism products that leverage local advantages; focus on developing agro-tourism and resort tourism, and find solutions to exploit the values of flower villages such as Thai Phien, Ha Dong, and Da Thien…

According to decisions announced by the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Lam Vien Ward Party Committee – Da Lat for the 2025-2030 term consists of 29 members, and the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee consists of 9 members. Comrade Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City, was appointed as the Secretary of the Lam Vien Ward Party Committee – Da Lat; Comrades Nguyen Quang Hai and Tran Thi Vu Loan were appointed as Deputy Secretaries of the Ward Party Committee.

In her directive speech, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Pham Thi Phuc emphasized that, with its advantages of large agricultural land area, long-standing flower villages, early-developed agro-tourism, many famous tourist destinations; and numerous educational, research, and scientific and technical application facilities located in the area such as Da Lat University, the Army Academy, the Nuclear Research Institute… these are great potentials that not every locality possesses. The ward needs solutions to transform this enormous potential into resources for economic, cultural, and social development.

At the same time, Lam Vien ward in Da Lat needs to leverage its strengths in tourism and service industries, and cultural industries, developing comprehensive solutions in terms of scale, quality, and diversification of tourism products; forming attractive tourism spaces… to attract tourists, especially those on organized tours and those staying for extended periods.
