On the background of traditional music , Phuong My Chi performed a mashup of Bac Bo Ly including Drum Rice - Northern Ly Melodies - Quan Ho folk songs with her characteristic voice, along with Quan Ho vibrato technique. The combination of traditional drum rice sounds, Northern Ly melodies and Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song vibrato technique created a performance that was both unique and modern.
Besides folk melodies, Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs are a special cultural heritage that DTAP and Phuong My Chi want to introduce to international friends. The choice of this material is not simply because of the musical element, but also comes from the desire to convey the Vietnamese spirit through a type of intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO.
Another highlight of the performance was the song "Pushing the Ox Cart" - composed by DTAP from literary inspiration - the short story "The Beggar's Wife" by writer Kim Lan.
“Folk music is not only the past, but also the living present. It is the music that makes us feel proud and that we belong. Through this performance, we not only introduce traditional music but also send clear messages about identity, diversity, and innovation in the spiritual life of regional music - where each melody can be felt by the hearts of today's youth and international friends,” DTAP expressed.

Talking about choosing the song for Phuong My Chi to perform, DTAP said that this was not an easy song. The song distilled the quintessence of the spiritual life of the Northern people. Because Phuong My Chi possesses the maturity to "feel" folk songs and harmonize between technique and emotion, she was able to fully convey those simple messages to the audience.
The program Sing! Asia 2025 with the participation of Vietnamese singer Phuong My Chi is broadcast simultaneously with international on FPT Play every Saturday night.
