Phu Son Ward launched the model of "Fire prevention and fighting inter-family group" and "Public fire fighting point"

On the morning of May 27, the People's Committee of Phu Son Ward ( Thanh Hoa City) held a launching ceremony for the model "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Group" and "Public Fire Fighting Point".

Implementing Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening fire prevention and fighting work in the new situation; plans of the City People's Committee, City Police, Phu Son Ward People's Committee issued Plan No. 25/KH-UBND, dated March 1, 2023 on deploying the construction and replication of the model "Inter-family fire safety team" and "Public fire fighting point" in the ward.

After nearly 3 months of implementation, with the strong direction of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Fire Prevention and Fighting Steering Committee of the ward and the active participation of the people, Phu Son ward has built 17 models of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Groups" with 136 members representing families with houses combined with production and business; built 10 "Public Fire Fighting Points" with 136 members participating (exceeding the target assigned by Thanh Hoa City). 10 "Public Fire Fighting Points" are located in alleys and lanes with high population density, with a length of 50m or more that fire trucks cannot reach when a fire or explosion occurs.

The model of “Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Group” and “Public Fire Fighting Point” was born to promote the combined strength in the movement of the whole population participating in fire prevention and fighting; enhance the spirit of proactive prevention as well as skills in using fire prevention and fighting equipment, escape skills, fire fighting organization, minimizing damage caused by fires and explosions.

At the launching ceremony, Phu Son Ward announced the decision to establish “Fire Prevention and Control Inter-Family Teams” and “Public Fire Fighting Points” in the ward. Representatives of the “Fire Prevention and Control Inter-Family Teams” and “Public Fire Fighting Points” signed a contract to implement the model with the Ward People’s Committee.

For the model to operate effectively, after the launching ceremony, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Skills and Professional Guidance Team of the City Police Administrative Management Team trained and instructed members participating in the model on how to use fire extinguishers in case of fire or explosion.
