This is one of the preparatory steps to complete the administrative system after the city reorganizes ward-level administrative units.

At the conference, a representative of the Ward Culture and Information Department presented a plan to rename 25 neighborhoods. According to the proposal, 5 neighborhoods in the old Ward 9 will keep their names, while neighborhoods in Nguyen An Ninh Ward, Ward 8 and the old Ward 8 will be renumbered in order, ensuring convenience in administrative management and community activities.

The ward has issued nearly 22,000 ballots to collect people's opinions and along with that, the ward People's Committee has established groups to collect opinions in residential areas, mobilizing the active participation of group leaders to grasp people's thoughts and promptly record shortcomings in the implementation process.

Chairman of Tam Thang Ward People's Committee Le Xuan Tu emphasized that the consultation process must ensure democracy, publicity, and high consensus among the people. It is expected that the entire consultation process will be completed before July 25, 2025.
