New approaches in medical communication

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên01/07/2024

In the field Health care, the influence of unscientific and misleading information, even rumors and malicious information with bad intentions and profit, is increasing and threatening public health as dangerously as traditional epidemics.

In the case of users who are patients or relatives of patients, especially with complex and new diseases, they feel a lack of knowledge and understanding about their illness, they are more worried and do not know where to look for information. In addition, finding and identifying a reliable medical expert for advice and support is not easy, having to visit many doctors or specialists to "double check" is even more expensive and difficult.

This context is challenging the mission of the medical profession, not only to cure diseases in the hospital, but also to contribute to spreading true medical knowledge and values to the community more widely. Therefore, we need medical professionals who are capable of leading, inspiring and changing the behavior of the community. These medical professionals not only help spread true medical knowledge but also fight against misinformation, contributing to improving public health and quality of life. Becoming an influential medical professional in the digital society not only helps medical professionals develop their careers, create positive influences but also demonstrate their social responsibility, for a healthier and happier community.

This is one of the important topics that will be shared in the panel discussion. "New Approaches to Medical Communication" by University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City co-organized with RMIT International University at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Hall 3A, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City (215 Hong Bang, Ward 11, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).

The program is for leaders and communication managers at medical facilities who want to find new and effective medical communication methods for their units; experts with up-to-date medical knowledge, skills and many years of practical experience, but unfamiliar with supporting communication tools, who want to convey those resources to the community; units and individuals who want to access and share the most accurate and latest medical information sources to increase prestige and the number of interactions from the community.

The seminar " New methods in medical communication " is an opportunity to seek solutions together, use collective intelligence to face challenges, and make practical contributions to solving current medical communication problems. Detailed link: https://bit.ly/ChuongtrinhKmol
