On October 27, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Gia Commune, Hiep Duc District, Quang Nam Province, said that the local government had just organized the evacuation of all 30 households with 163 people in Na No residential area (Gia Cao village) to a safe place to avoid the risk of landslides.

Previously, while checking the landslide situation before storm Tra Mi, the authorities of Phuoc Gia commune discovered on the top of the hill right in the middle of Na No residential area a crack appeared with a depth of 1m, length of 30m in the shape of an arc, radius of 10m, estimated volume of rock and soil at risk of landslide is 100m3.

Immediately, the government mobilized all police forces, commune militia, regular militia, youth union members, and women to mobilize and support people to evacuate to a safe place in the area of ​​Kpa ​​- Ko Long Primary School.

Currently, the authorities of Phuoc Gia commune are arranging food, essential food, and cooking for people staying at the school. At the same time, they are mobilizing vehicles and workers to dig ditches to divide water on the hilltop to prevent water from flowing down to the slope of the residential area, avoiding landslides.
