According to the report, after the merger, the three wards of Bac Lieu , Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh have a total of 91 surplus houses and lands that need to be handled. Up to now, 11 facilities have been put into use, 20 facilities are in the process of transfer, and 60 facilities continue to be reviewed and arranged to avoid waste and better exploit public assets.
At the meeting, the units agreed to prioritize the arrangement of surplus facilities to expand and upgrade schools; at the same time, proposed to use some facilities as headquarters of hamlets. For large-scale land and headquarters, the locality proposed to include them in the land use planning to call for investment in the coming time.

Concluding the working session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi requested localities to urgently review and accurately count surplus houses and land that need to be handled; determine actual needs to have effective usage plans, avoid degradation, loss, and waste. The Department of Education and Training reviewed the school network, especially the remote locations, to soon have a plan to convert the functions of appropriate headquarters, serving the goal of building schools that meet national standards. The province will consider arranging some headquarters in the old Bac Lieu province as workplaces for provincial departments and branches, creating favorable conditions for public service activities.
