At an average altitude of over 1,600m above sea level, Ta Xua commune is blessed by nature with rare natural beauty, such as: Dinosaur spine, dolphin beak, lonely tree, windy peak, mustard stream to primeval forests, green valleys, clear streams. Especially, Ta Xua sea of ​​clouds has created a pristine, vivid natural picture, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

Not only has majestic natural beauty, Ta Xua also has a suitable climate for relaxation with cool summers, cold winters with fog and clouds all year round. Currently, the entire Ta Xua commune has 171 tourism service businesses. The commune has issued a plan to develop tourism associated with natural resource conservation, especially Ta Xua cloud hunting tourism; built a Ta Xua tourism development project for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2035...

Mr. Do Van Xiem, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, informed: Since July 1st, the commune has coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to survey and evaluate tourism potential, propose recognition of Sa Mu, U Bo, Devil's Triangle, Dinosaur's Back, Thac Stream, Terraced Fields and propose recognition of Mong ethnic cultural heritage. Coordinate with the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to organize a training course on "Tourism Communication Skills" for 70 tourism service business households in the area; conduct inspections, reminders and fines for business establishments that do not comply with regulations.

In the villages, there are also unique cultural models, such as: Art troupe serving tourists, "Green - clean - beautiful village" movement, folk art club, preserving linen weaving, brocade embroidery, making Mong flute...

Infrastructure still has many bottlenecks

In recent years, the number of tourists to Ta Xua has been increasing. Since the beginning of the year, Ta Xua has welcomed over 152,200 visitors, with tourism revenue reaching 132.5 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 250 local workers. However, the rapid development of tourism is placing a heavy burden on the infrastructure system, which has not been invested in synchronously.

Mr. Do Van Xiem, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, added: Currently, Provincial Road 112 from Bac Yen Commune to Ta Xua has many winding, steep sections, often obscured by dense fog, causing traffic insecurity, especially for drivers unfamiliar with the terrain. Branch roads leading to tourist attractions are mainly old, seriously degraded gravel or concrete roads, without a system of barriers, markers, convex mirrors, and guardrails at dangerous curves, limiting the accessibility of large tourist vehicles. Tourists have to travel by small cars or motorbikes, increasing costs and reducing convenience, especially when traveling in groups or with family.

In addition, the telecommunications network system The network has basically covered the villages, but due to the large area, there are still many low-lying areas that have not been covered, making it difficult for tourists to communicate, share experiences and handle work remotely. The power system is often overloaded in the central area of ​​the commune on weekends and during peak tourist seasons, and is easily interrupted and damaged when extreme weather occurs.

Currently, the commune does not have high-quality accommodation, resorts, entertainment and shopping areas. Most of the tourism businesses are small and fragmented, and there are no standard tourist destinations. Along with that, the limitations in waste treatment, information systems, signs, tourist maps... are posing great challenges for tourism development in Ta Xua.

Orientation for green and sustainable tourism development

The Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Ta Xua Commune, term 2025-2030, identified that mobilizing investment to build a synchronous socio-economic infrastructure system, especially traffic and tourism infrastructure, is one of three breakthroughs to create a driving force to promote the socio-economic development of the commune. To realize this goal, the Party Committee of the commune prioritizes investment capital and mobilizes socialization to build a synchronous infrastructure system, especially traffic, to serve tourism development; promote digital transformation, create a destination image and a unique tourism brand, striving to make Ta Xua a provincial-level tourist area by 2030.

Recently, at a working session with the Provincial Working Group on inspecting investment and management of tourism infrastructure in the commune, The People's Committee of Ta Xua commune requested the province and relevant departments and branches to consider, prioritize approval and allocate capital to carry out synchronous investment, in order to thoroughly resolve infrastructure bottlenecks. In the immediate future, the sidewalks will be renovated, lighting installed and trees planted on the main road; upgrading and expanding the road surface, strengthening barriers and markers on the route from the welcome gate through the commune headquarters to Be village to ensure safety for residents and tourists.

In the long term, the commune proposed that the province focus resources on investing, upgrading, renovating and repairing the entire arterial traffic system; upgrading new transformer stations in key tourist areas and commune centers; prioritizing the addition and upgrading of base transceiver stations (BTS) in key areas, especially tourist attractions...

At the meeting, comrade Ha Trung Chien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Party Committee and authorities of Ta Xua commune to continue to review and assess in detail the current status of tourism infrastructure in the area, synthesize proposals for the Provincial People's Committee to consider, prioritize approval and allocate capital for synchronous investment, in order to thoroughly resolve bottlenecks in traffic infrastructure, electricity, water and public utilities, contributing to the development of local tourism.
