Quang Duong and his family have returned to the US after concluding their tour in Mumbai, India. In his second time participating in Monsoon 3.0, Quang Duong won two out of three events.
The Monsoon 3.0 tournament was the next place Quang Duong competed after his contract with the UPA (United States Pickleball Association) was unilaterally terminated due to two consecutive violations of terms, according to the UPA.
Many of Quang Duong's fans, including those in Vietnam and internationally, are very interested in the journey of the Vietnamese-American pickleball player after he retired from the PPA and MLP competitions.
PPA and MLP are two professional and well-known leagues under the UPA system. Quang Duong rose to prominence in this league, signed a professional contract, and is currently in conflict with the association.
Having dropped out of the top US pickleball ranking system (Quang Duong is ranked 6th in men's singles), the 2006-born player is no longer allowed by the UPA to compete in the PPA and MLP tournaments.
Quang Duong no longer needs PPA and MLP. He turned his back on PPA and pursued his own path, planned by his father, Duc Duong, though the plan has not yet been announced.
Because the Vietnamese-American pickleball player is no longer part of the US tennis system, his schedule is uncertain. Many fans are unable to know where and when Quang Duong will be playing.
With PPA Asia (PPA's tournament system in Asia) making its debut in Vietnam in September 2025, many people are wondering if Quang Duong will be attending so they can watch him play.
Quang Duong, in a comment responding to a fan, wrote: "I don't do free advertising for Joola; the prize money is only $1,500, which is even less than the Vietnamese amateur league."

The PPA Asia Tour - Vietnam Open 2025 will take place in Ho Chi Minh City in September. The tournament is open to all players who register to earn prize money and accumulate points. This is one of five legs of the PPA Asia Tour 2025, which includes Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, China, and Vietnam.
