Quang Duong and his family returned to the US after concluding their tour in Mumbai, India. In his second invitation to Monsoon 3.0, Quang Duong won 2 out of 3 events.
The Monsoon 3.0 tournament is the closest Quang Duong has competed since the UPA (United States Pickleball Association) unilaterally terminated his contract due to two consecutive violations of the terms, according to the UPA.
Many Quang Duong fans, including those in Vietnam and internationally, are very interested in the journey of the overseas Vietnamese pickleball player after he no longer competes in PPA and MLP.
PPA and MLP are two professional and famous tournaments under the UPA system. Quang Duong emerged in this tournament, signed a professional contract and is in conflict with this association.
When he was no longer ranked in the largest system of American pickleball (Quang Duong ranked 6th in men's singles), the player born in 2006 was not allowed by UPA to compete in PPA and MLP.
Quang Duong also no longer needs PPA and MLP. He turned his back on PPA and followed his own path planned by his father - Mr. Duc Duong, but the plan has not been announced yet.
Since the Vietnamese-American pickleball player is no longer in the US system, his schedule is unclear. Many fans cannot know where and when Quang Duong will play.
In the context of PPA Asia (PPA's tournament system in Asia) first coming to Vietnam in September 2025, many people wonder if Quang Duong will return to attend to watch.
Quang Duong, in a comment responding to a fan, wrote: "I don't advertise for Joola for free, the prize money is only 1,500 USD, less than the Vietnam amateur tournament."
