Quang Ngai province offers free or discounted bus fares for vulnerable and low-income individuals.

QNgTV - Quang Ngai province has developed and implemented a policy to exempt 100% of bus fares for war veterans and disadvantaged people, and reduce fares by 20-50% for students and workers in the area, in order to support and encourage people to use public transportation services.

This is one of the notable contents of the resolution on interest rate support for loans to invest in vehicles, build infrastructure and support operating costs; and exemption and reduction of bus fares in the area, which was recently approved by the 13th Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council at its 7th session.

The resolution clearly stipulates the policy of exempting or reducing bus fares for groups such as war veterans, children, people with disabilities, students, and workers. Specifically, fares are waived for children under 6 years old, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, resistance fighters exposed to chemical toxins, and people with severe and extremely severe disabilities.

At the same time, a 50% discount on fares is offered to Vietnamese citizens studying at schools in the area for 9 months or more, people with mild disabilities, and the elderly. In addition, a 20% discount is offered to workers commuting to and from industrial zones and economic zones in the area.
