Currently, right next to the lake at the foot of Pa Si waterfall, there is a large landslide extending about 60 meters. The landslide has also cut off the water flow, causing stagnation. Efforts to clear a small stream are being urgently carried out. Most worryingly, the landslide has created a steep embankment; if there is heavy rain, the landslide could expand at any time and completely destroy the road leading to the tourist center. In that case, not only the landscape but also the access route will be lost.
Mr. Pham Van Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Mang Den commune, confirmed that Pa Si waterfall must be closed to ensure the safety of tourists. Currently, the local authorities are allocating funds to excavate soil and rocks, clear the waterway, and prevent further damage to the landscape. The local authorities want to expedite the work but lack sufficient funds. Addressing the landslide, restoring the landscape, and creating photo spots at this tourist destination requires significant funding, but the local authorities have yet to find the necessary resources.
