Quang Ninh innovates front work to promote the strength of national solidarity

In the context of digital transformation taking place strongly in all fields, the Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province has proactively innovated and promoted the application of information technology in propaganda and mobilization work for the people. Building multi-platform communication channels, enhancing information processing skills, and promptly grasping public opinion to improve operational efficiency and affirm the central role of national solidarity in the digital age.

Digital transformation to be 'closer to the people'

To better perform its role and tasks in the new period, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Quang Ninh province pays great attention to promoting the application of digital transformation to innovate the content and methods of operation.

In recent times, innovations in content and methods of operation; especially in participating in digital transformation, with a pioneering spirit and determination to strongly apply information technology to the activities of the Front have been focused on. The Provincial Fatherland Front has expanded information and propaganda channels on social networking sites, with a total of 185 Fatherland Front fanpage community pages from the province to the grassroots, maintaining regular and effective operations, helping to strengthen information and propaganda work, creating a two-way interactive environment with the people.

For example, in Mao Khe ward, the transmission of urgent and important information made the cadres who worked on the front work very difficult in the past. However, since the establishment of zalo groups in residential groups and neighborhoods, whenever any work needs to be carried out, the ward Fatherland Front only needs to send information and documents to the zalo group and the residential groups and neighborhoods will immediately receive the information.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Head of the Front Work Committee of Xuan Vien 4 area, Mao Khe ward, shared: 'Many people who did not know anything about digital technology and smart devices are now proficient. All good models, new and creative ways of doing things from residential areas are updated on social networks, which are official sources of information for people to follow, learn and replicate.'

Moreover, for conflicting information, reflected on zalo groups, the front officers at the ward are present more quickly to learn directly, skillfully resolve problems arising within the people, not allowing complicated developments to arise. This method has been skillfully applied by the Fatherland Front of the ward, turning social networks and digital technology into a solid bridge between the Fatherland Front and the people. Thereby, saving a significant amount of time and effort, compared to organizing meetings and activities in the traditional way.

In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province also edited and digitized 100% of archived documents, effectively exploited and used document management and operational software, processed work, transferred and received documents online, and limited the use of paper documents.

Deploying the "Quang Ninh Digital Front" platform

Managing information on cyberspace also requires the Front's staff to constantly improve their professional qualifications in propaganda, public opinion orientation, and media crisis handling to protect the Party's ideological foundation and affirm the position of the Fatherland Front in the new situation.

In order to further promote the application of digital transformation to innovate content and methods of operation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has launched the platform "Quang Ninh Digital Front", associated with the requirement that the Front's staff further promote the spirit of determination, proactive innovation and creativity.

This application helps provide official information sources on activities and movements of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations of the province and localities throughout the province. At the same time, it is a convenient tool to connect directly to the national public service portal to perform online public services; integrates the "Digital Popular Education" handbook and videos instructing digital skills by topic; supports users to quickly access the national Digital Popular Education platform.

Specifically, the “Quang Ninh Digital Front” application is directly connected to the “Digital Front” platform built by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Main features include: Online database system; system for receiving and processing feedback and recommendations; digital library; paperless meeting room; archive and continuous update of the system of documents and instructions of the Fatherland Front at all levels; automatic roll call feature, updating documents for congresses, conferences, and paperless programs.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has also established an editorial board, a secretariat, an administration board and issued specific operating regulations to ensure that the zalo mini app and the Front's fanpages and electronic information portals operate effectively and in accordance with their established purposes.

Proactively and resolutely implementing the major policy on digital transformation is both a mandatory requirement and an inherent and urgent requirement for the Fatherland Front system at all levels to successfully complete the set goals and tasks./.
