Quang Tri has 3 more seaports applying electronic visas.

The Government has just allowed the addition of international border gates allowing foreigners to enter and exit the country with electronic visas (e-visas), of which Quang Tri province has 3 port border gates.

On November 4, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that the Government has just issued Resolution No. 389 on adding border gates to the list of international border gates allowing foreigners to enter and exit with electronic visas with 41 international border gates including 4 air border gates, 11 land border gates and 26 port border gates.

Of which, Quang Tri has 3 port border gates: Gianh port, Hon La port and Cua Viet port. Previously, according to Resolution 127 dated August 14, 2023 of the Government , Quang Tri province has 4 border gates that apply e-visa: Dong Hoi Airport, Lao Bao International Border Gate, La Lay International Border Gate and Cha Lo International Border Gate; bringing the total number of border gates approved for e-visa in the province to 7 and fully by road, air and sea.

This is a favorable condition for the province to promote and expand the international tourist growth market, especially promoting the development of sea tourism towards the high-end tourist market with high spending capacity in the coming time.

With a coastline of nearly 200 km, rich tourism resources and many unique tourism products in terms of eco-tourism, nature tourism, cultural-historical tourism, agricultural tourism, and high-end sports tourism, Quang Tri is a suitable destination for cruise tourists.

With investment and upgrading of Hon La port and Cua Viet port, along with the application of e-visa, Quang Tri promises to be an attractive new destination for international tourists.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province, in the first 11 months of 2025, the number of tourists is estimated to reach 9.1 million, an increase of more than 17% over the same period, of which domestic visitors are estimated to reach 8.7 million, an increase of more than 16% over the same period, international visitors are estimated to reach 426,500, an increase of nearly 43% over the same period; total revenue from tourists is estimated to reach 10,569 billion VND, an increase of nearly 36% over the same period.
