Master plan of Bac Phong Sinh border gate economic zone, Quang Ninh province

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1618/QD-TTg dated December 20, 2024 approving the Master Plan for the construction of Bac Phong Sinh border gate economic zone, Quang Ninh province until 2045.

Regarding the planning boundary, the Decision clearly states: Bac Phong Sinh border gate economic zone belongs to the administrative boundary of the entire Quang Duc commune, Hai Ha district. The planning scale includes the entire natural area of ​​Quang Duc commune with a total area of ​​about 9,373.43 hectares.

The planning objective is to concretize the orientations of national sectoral planning, regional planning, and Quang Ninh province planning, with the goal of building and developing Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone into a dynamic and smart border gate economic zone, supporting and promoting cross-border trade activities and other related activities.

Developing Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone according to the model of an international border gate economic zone, with high competitiveness, becoming a dynamic economic center focusing on trade, tourism and services, logistics, supporting industries, etc.; closely linked with Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park, Hoanh Mo - Dong Van Border Gate Economic Zone, Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone to create a hub for trade, import and export of goods and services...

Regarding the planning content, the Decision requires analyzing the natural conditions of the area as a basis for selecting a suitable economic zone development model; optimally exploiting the area's land fund for the requirements of economic development, infrastructure, landscape, and environment; proposing and building structures and spatial structures associated with the development of supporting industries, logistics, trade, tourism, residential areas, and other services.

The spatial development orientation of Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone is to develop in a sustainable direction, ensuring maximum exploitation of functional space; determining and allocating border gate area space; commercial service areas, logistic areas, industrial production areas, tourist areas, residential areas, public centers... and other functional areas.
