Sa Pa gradually standardizes the team of drivers serving tourists at the tourist area.

In 2023, Sa Pa town always focuses on opening training courses to update information on traffic management and communication and behavioral skills for the team of drivers serving tourists in the area. The subjects attending the training courses are drivers of vehicles serving tourists: taxis, electric cars, tourist contract cars... of passenger transport businesses in Sa Pa town to prepare conditions to welcome tourists on holidays and Tet in the year to create an image of Sa Pa tourism as friendly, hospitable, civilized and polite.

At the training sessions, trainees were disseminated with general knowledge about the economic and social development situation and cultural and tourism events in the town. Representatives of Sa Pa town police disseminated and thoroughly implemented the implementation of legal regulations when participating in traffic according to Joint Circular No. 19/2015/TTLT-BGTVT-BVHTTDL dated May 25, 2015 of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism guiding the transport of tourists by car and granting license plates to tourist transport cars; thoroughly implemented the compliance with traffic diversion plans and regulations on stopping and parking in Sa Pa town; disseminated communication skills, behavior and handling of communication situations in transporting and serving tourists in Sa Pa town.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Sa Pa town, delivered the opening speech at the Training Course on skills, communication and behavior for drivers transporting and serving tourists in Sa Pa town in 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Sa Pa town, said: “The taxi driver team plays an important role in improving the quality of tourism services in the town. Sa Pa always hopes that each taxi and electric car driver will gradually be standardized. Training courses will support the taxi and electric car team in communication awareness. Through the class, it will also help the taxi driver team in Sa Pa understand more about some policies and orientations for local tourism development.”

With easy-to-remember, easy-to-understand propaganda content disseminated to the team of drivers serving tourists in the town, it has helped them gain more understanding, knowledge, communication skills and behavior towards tourists and information about the socio -economic development and tourism situation of Sa Pa to provide and exchange with tourists. Through the training sessions, it also helps to strengthen management, improve the professionalism of transportation service businesses serving tourists; transparency in transportation service prices in Sa Pa town according to the motto "Safe driving - professional service, civilized behavior". Mr. Phung Chan Phu, a Dao ethnic in Sin Chai A village, Muong Bo commune, Sa Pa town, driver of Vu Lam Company Limited (Taxi Tay Bac) shared: "For each ethnic minority driver, through the training sessions organized by the People's Committee of Sa Pa town, we have been equipped with legal knowledge and passed it on to our fellow drivers to make our work better and better."

Training courses for drivers in Sa Pa town attract a large number of participants.

Currently, in Sa Pa town, there are 8 units operating passenger transport by 4-wheeled motor vehicles with more than 200 electric car and taxi drivers. Organizing training to disseminate current laws and equipping communication skills is extremely important. Thereby contributing to spreading and ensuring tourism security, creating a healthy competitive environment, through the team of taxi and electric car drivers, contributing to promoting, introducing, providing basic information, unique features, and accessing tourism information for tourists when coming to Sa Pa National Tourist Area.
