Ready for the opening ceremony of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple festival.

One of the most anticipated spring festivals in Ha Hoa district is the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district, featuring many activities with unique historical and cultural significance. Preparations are now complete, ready to welcome people and tourists to visit and worship during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.

People in Hien Luong commune are decorating the streets and getting ready for the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival in the spring of 2025.

According to the plan of the People's Committee of Ha Hoa District, this year's Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival will include: the incense offering ceremony to Ancestor Mother Au Co on January 24, 2025 (the 25th day of the 12th lunar month, Year of the Dragon); the opening ceremony of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival and the making and cooking of banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) and pounding of banh giay (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) on February 3, 2025 (the 6th day of the 1st lunar month, Year of the Snake); and the incense offering ceremony on the day of the Ancestor's Descent (the main ceremony) on February 4, 2025 (the 7th day of the 1st lunar month). A difference this year is that there will be no cultural or sporting activities.

These days, the Organizing Committee of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival is actively completing preparations to ensure the festival proceeds on schedule, including: a thorough cleaning of the entire Au Co Mother Goddess Temple historical site; hanging banners and slogans; and decorating the road leading to the historical site and other roads in Hien Luong commune with colorful flags and flowers. At the same time, Hien Luong commune is also urgently completing repairs to roads damaged by Typhoon No. 3 in the area.

The organizing committee has also ensured security and order, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, accommodation services, restaurants, parking lots, etc., in the festival area, ready to meet the needs of the people and visitors from all over.

Officials and staff of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Management Board are actively working, cleaning, and planting flowers in the memorial garden to prepare for the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival in the Spring of 2025.

Ms. To Thi Hai Yen, Head of the Management Board of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Relic Site, said: "In the last days of the year, the relic site has welcomed many groups of visitors from all over the country to pay respects and express gratitude for the merits of the Mother Goddess. We have also basically completed the landscaping and decorations to make the relic site space airy, clean and beautiful."

As a particularly important ritual on the main day of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival, the ceremonial team consists of 21 young, beautiful, and virtuous girls selected from students of Ha Hoa High School and Xuan Ang High School in Ha Hoa district. The team is currently undergoing rigorous training, ensuring adherence to the schedule and timeline.

Many groups of visitors from all over the country came to pay their respects and express their gratitude to the Mother Goddess before the New Year.

Phung Ngoc Anh Thu, a student in class 11A1 at Ha Hoa High School and a member of the ceremonial team, said: "I am very honored and proud to be selected as a member of the ceremonial team for the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple Festival in the year of the Snake 2025. Currently, we are actively practicing under the guidance of our teachers to complete the ceremony in a solemn and respectful manner to express our gratitude for the merits of the Ancestral Mother."

Over the years, Ha Hoa district has focused all its resources on restoring and preserving historical relics, effectively managing annual festival activities, improving the landscape and grounds, investing in and completing the infrastructure of the historical site, expanding parking lots, access roads, and areas for planting commemorative trees; building standard public restrooms to serve tourists ; opening booths to promote tourism products at the Au Co Mother Temple Festival, maintaining information and product sales counters in the Mother Temple area; building a memorial house to display and promote Ha Hoa's products...

Now, everything is ready for a civilized and safe festival season, contributing to enhancing and promoting the cultural beauty of the spring festivals in the ancestral land.
