On the morning of June 2nd, over 15,000 students in Quang Ninh completed the Mathematics exam – the final common subject – with a 120-minute time limit and essay-based format. Thus, candidates taking the entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2023-2024 school year (non-specialized programs) have completed their exams.

The invigilators performed their duties correctly and diligently while maintaining a cheerful and friendly demeanor to create a comfortable atmosphere for the candidates.

As the final subject of the 2023-2024 high school entrance exam enters its final phase, all examination boards across the province have ensured that all necessary conditions for the exam are in place.

All examination sites reported no security or electrical/water-related incidents. The organization of the exams continued to be well-managed by the examination staff, ensuring that all procedures and regulations were followed correctly and completely.

Exam officials explain the exam regulations and remind candidates about the exam procedures and processes.

Leaving the exam room after the time was up, most candidates assessed this year's math exam as being within the students' capabilities, similar to previous years, with knowledge covered in the curriculum and reviewed by their teachers.

Sharing with a reporter from the Provincial Media Center, Nguyen Hoang Phuong Anh, a candidate taking the exam at Hon Gai High School examination center, said: "I found that the knowledge tested in this year's Math exam was all within the curriculum we had studied and reviewed. The questions were basic and suitable for students' abilities. Students with average to above-average academic ability could easily score 6 or 7 points. However, the exam also included some questions requiring high academic ability to differentiate students."

After the Math exam, many students were in a very happy and relaxed mood because they had done well on the test.

Pham Hai Anh, a student taking the specialized Math exam at Ha Long High School for the Gifted, shared: "I found this year's general Math exam quite easy. Even students with average academic ability could complete about 70%. I did quite well and am very confident with my results. Now I will rest and take care of my health so that I can focus on doing well on the specialized subject exam."

Teachers, parents, and candidates were happy and relieved after completing the Math exam – the final common subject of this year's 10th grade entrance exam.

According to preliminary data from the Provincial Department of Education and Training, 15,134 candidates took the Mathematics exam on the morning of June 2nd; 128 candidates were absent. The attendance rate was 99.16%. Two candidates, one at the Vu Van Hieu High School examination center and one at the Ngo Quyen High School examination center, violated exam regulations (bringing mobile phones into the examination room).

Thus, after three examination sessions, candidates taking the entrance exam for 10th grade in non-specialized high schools for the 2023-2024 school year have completed the exam.

Law enforcement officers were present at all examination sites, effectively ensuring security, order, and traffic safety during the exams.

Candidates applying to Ha Long Specialized High School will take their specialized subject exams in two sessions, this afternoon, June 2nd, and this morning, June 3rd.

On the afternoon of June 2nd, the specialized subjects exams will be held: Biology, History, Geography, and English. On the morning of June 3rd, the specialized subjects exams will be held: Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, and Chinese. The time allotted for each exam is 150 minutes.
