On October 30, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang issued Official Dispatch No. 2533/SGDĐT-GDPT on not issuing centralized final exams for junior high school and high school levels in the 2025-2026 school year to communes, wards, special zones and educational institutions in the province.

Previously (October 24), the Department of Education and Training of An Giang issued Official Dispatch No. 2429/SGDĐT-GDPT on the implementation of centralized final examinations for the whole province for junior high school and high school levels in the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang will issue concentrated tests at the end of semester I and end of semester II in the subjects: Math, Literature, and English for secondary school level.

For high school level, the Department issues concentrated tests at the end of semester I and end of semester II for the subjects: Math, Literature, English for grades 10 and 11.

For grade 12, the Department issued concentrated tests at the end of semester I and end of semester II in the following subjects: Literature, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology - Industry, Technology - Agriculture, English.

In particular, Huynh Man Dat Specialized High School; Thoai Ngoc Hau Specialized High School; Thu Khoa Nghia Specialized High School and An Giang School for Disabled Children are allowed to develop their own final exam questions to conduct periodic testing and assessment at the unit.

According to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang, the Department's issuance of centralized final exams for the whole province will be implemented from the 2022-2023 school year at junior high schools and high schools in Kien Giang province before the merger.

After many years of implementation, it has shown certain effectiveness: the centralized test for the whole province at the end of the semester helps to assess the general level of knowledge and skills of students, providing feedback for both teachers and students to improve the teaching and learning process. The results of the centralized test are also the basis for the Department of Education and Training and schools to evaluate the general training quality of units in the province, thereby proposing measures to support, advise, and improve the quality of mass education.

However, currently, due to the large number of schools, the number of education officers in charge of communes, wards and special zones is small and they do not have much experience, so there are difficulties in organizing centralized final exams in the whole province.

Therefore, to ensure effective implementation of the school year plan, the Department of Education and Training will not issue centralized final exams for the whole province for junior high and high school levels in the 2025-2026 school year.

Secondary and high school educational institutions proactively develop and implement a plan to organize final exams at the unit according to the guidance documents of the Department of Education and Training.
