The Culture and Tourism Week associated with the Ok Om Bok Festival is an opportunity to promote to tourists the image of the people and land of Tra Vinh , especially the potential, advantages, and unique cultural features of the ethnic minorities.

On the evening of November 9th, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Ok Om Bok Festival Culture and Tourism Week. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province, Nguyen Quynh Thien, stated that Ok Om Bok is a traditional festival of the Khmer people in Southern Vietnam, recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This year's Tra Vinh Province Ok Om Bok Festival Culture and Tourism Week is organized on a provincial scale to serve the people, providing opportunities for sightseeing, entertainment, community interaction, and connection. It aims to create momentum to increase labor productivity, achieve socio -economic development targets for 2024, and successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025. The event contributes to preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups in the province, building an advanced Vietnamese culture rich in national identity. It is an opportunity to promote to tourists the image of the people and land of Tra Vinh, especially the potential, advantages, and unique cultural features of the ethnic groups, particularly the Khmer people. Businesses inside and outside the province have the opportunity to exchange and collaborate to develop diverse tourism products with other provinces and cities; seek markets, promote investment, trade, and tourism, and attract investment for tourism development. The Tra Vinh Province Ok Om Bok Festival Culture and Tourism Week 2024, taking place from November 9-15 in Tra Vinh city, features many attractive activities with rich and vibrant content. Specifically, there is the Tra Vinh Province Southern Cuisine Space 2024; and the "Tra Vinh - Connecting and Developing" tourism exhibition space. The Trade Promotion Fair - Rural Industrial Products and OCOP associated with the Ok Om Bok Festival of Tra Vinh province in 2024; the 2nd Amateur Khmer Dance Festival of Tra Vinh province in 2024. Along with that, there will be an exhibition of booths displaying characteristic products of the Khmer ethnic group, a book exhibition and mobile library services; displays and demonstrations of traditional crafts and costumes of the Khmer ethnic group; activities commemorating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day; water puppet performances; and a festival night... In addition, the province will also organize many sports activities such as boat racing, motorbike racing, football, volleyball for Khmer youth, cycling; folk games… Following the ceremony will be an art program performed by singers and artists from Ho Chi Minh City, the Tra Vinh Provincial Cultural Center, and the Anh Binh Minh Khmer Art Troupe.
