"Parasite" actor investigated for drug use

On October 19, the Incheon Police Department (South Korea) said that while investigating entertainment establishments in Gangnam (South Korea), they collected information related to an artist involved in drugs. "We are investigating based on information related to drugs of an actor named L," the police said.

According to Naver, South Korean police confirmed that actor Lee Sun Kyun is the artist under investigation and paid a large sum of money to the drug dealer. "Although we need to investigate further, we suspect that the reason the drug dealer blackmailed Lee Sun Kyun was because of his reputation," the police said.

According to News1, on October 20, the two girls believed to be involved in Lee Sun Kyun's drug scandal are Han Seo Hee (28 years old) and Hwang Hana (35 years old). Han Seo Hee is a former singer trainee who received a suspended sentence in 2017 after being investigated for using drugs with singer TOP (Big Bang). In 2021, she received a 1 year and 6 month prison sentence for reusing drugs while on probation.

Hwang Hana is the granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy Group (South Korea). She was the ex-fiancee of singer and actor Park Yoo Chun, and received a suspended prison sentence for using illegal drugs.

The remaining people involved in the case include managers and employees of adult entertainment establishments in Korea. The news that Lee Sun Kyun was being investigated for drug use has disappointed and stirred up discussion among Korean fans.
