On the evening of July 31st, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued Decision No. 1234/QD-UBND temporarily suspending Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, from his duties starting July 31st to facilitate an inspection of the organization of the entrance examination for 10th grade high school in the 2024-2025 school year. The temporary suspension period is 15 days.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien is responsible for providing all relevant information and documents as requested by the Head of the inspection team and the competent authority, ensuring compliance with the law.
Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, will be in charge of managing the operations of the Department of Education and Training during the period when Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien is temporarily suspended from his duties.

The Chief Inspector of Thai Binh province has decided to establish an inspection team to clarify the case of parents alleging irregularities in the entrance exam scores for 10th grade in the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province.
The inspection period lasts 20 days, starting from the date the inspection decision is announced.
The inspection team consisted of 11 people, led by Mr. Pham Cong Dich, Deputy Chief Inspector of Thai Binh province. Two officers from the Thai Binh Provincial Police also joined the inspection team.

Ms. PTD (47 years old), residing in Nam Hong commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province, is the person who submitted a complaint to the authorities requesting clarification on the admission process for the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh province for the 2024-2025 school year.
In her complaint, Ms. D. stated that the entrance exam for 10th grade in Thai Binh province for the 2024-2025 school year took place from June 6-8, 2024, with the results announced and available for checking on June 16. Upon seeing the exam results, her family and many other parents, students, and teachers from secondary schools throughout the province were extremely surprised and upset because the scores did not accurately reflect the students' performance.
In the petition, Ms. D. also stated that after the initial results were released, parents submitted appeals. On July 16th, the appeal results confirmed that many exam papers had been graded incorrectly. After the appeal, the scores for various subjects, especially mathematics and literature, differed significantly from the initial scores.
Specifically, candidate number 260xxx scored 3.75 in mathematics, and after the review, the score was raised to 9.5. Candidate number 260xxx scored 4 in literature, and after the review, the score was raised to 7.5.
