The program launch ceremony in Quang Nam was held at Nguyen Van Troi Primary School (Tam Ky City).
This meaningful activity is a continuation of the "Donating Helmets to First-Grade Students" program, jointly implemented nationwide since 2018 by the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, and Honda Vietnam .
Joining hands with the Government to realize the goal of "No road traffic accident deaths" by 2045, and building on the successes achieved from the helmet donation program for students in previous years, the organizing committee has decided to donate more than 1.7 million helmets to first-grade students nationwide, combined with traffic safety training for parents in the 2024-2025 school year.
The program aims to cultivate the habit of wearing helmets among motorcycle users in Vietnam, raising the rate of helmet use that meets national technical standards to 100%; and to enhance traffic safety awareness among students and parents through training and communication activities.
In Quang Nam province, it is expected that 27,776 helmets will be donated to first-grade students in the 2024-2025 school year.
