The number of spacious, national-standard schools is increasing.

One of the outstanding marks of the local education sector is the increasingly spacious and modern appearance of schools. While in the past, many schools were still degraded and lacked classrooms, now most of them are solidly built, clean and beautiful, fully equipped with basic teaching aids.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, by 2025, the rate of schools meeting national standards has exceeded the target set by the Provincial Party Committee Resolution.

By September 7, 2025, the whole province had 629/731 schools meeting national standards, reaching a rate of 85.90%. Of which, preschool level reached 93.36%, primary school 87.37%, secondary school 90.23% and high school 36.53%. Many schools have proactively applied information technology, put into use smart classrooms, electronic libraries, modern laboratories, creating conditions for students to access new knowledge and technology.

Schools are promoting the application of information technology, with learning software and smart classrooms, helping students to be more proactive and flexible, while supporting teachers to innovate teaching methods.

Teaching staff – a solid foundation

Ca Mau pays special attention to training, professional development and political qualities for the teaching staff. Up to now, the majority of teachers have met or exceeded the standards; many teachers actively innovate methods, encourage creativity, and put students at the center.

Legal education in schools, an urgent task, a long-term strategy to form citizens who live and work according to the law.

The government and the education sector also pay attention to policies and regimes, especially in disadvantaged areas, to help teachers feel secure in their work and continue to stick with their profession. Emulation movements such as "Building friendly schools, active students", competitions for excellent teachers and excellent homeroom teachers are held regularly, contributing to creating motivation for innovation and improving quality.

Regularly coordinate with the health sector to organize health check-ups and screenings for students.

Mr. Ta Thanh Vu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, said: "The implementation of the emulation movement has created a strong change in the awareness of training, improving public ethics, discipline, and responsibility of the team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees; building the image of a dedicated, professional, friendly teacher and cadre, serving students and the people ."

Over the past 5 years, many good models of environmental protection and building green - clean - beautiful schools have been implemented, creating positive effects on students.

Orientation of comprehensive innovation

In the coming time, the education sector of Ca Mau is determined to continue fundamental and comprehensive innovation, maximizing the potential and creativity of students, meeting the requirements of training high-quality human resources in the context of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

School attendance rates increased and dropouts decreased, creating conditions for improving the quality and universalization of education.

The focus is on developing vocational education in line with the diverse needs of the labor market; promoting foreign language and information technology education to international standards; accelerating digital transformation in management and teaching; building a "happy school" with a safe, green - clean - friendly environment; and at the same time standardizing and improving the professional qualifications of teachers and managers. The goal by 2045 is for Ca Mau province's education to develop to a fairly average level compared to the region and the whole country.

In recent years, the school sports movement has flourished with many training and competition activities, creating excitement for students to participate.

The local education sector focuses on comprehensive education, equipping students not only with knowledge but also with life skills, soft skills, traffic safety, school violence prevention and environmental protection.

The achievements have affirmed the continuous efforts of the whole society in the cause of "cultivating people". With the motto "Education is the top national policy", and the determination to innovate and create, the education sector of Ca Mau will continue to reap many successes, contributing to the building of high-quality human resources, serving the sustainable development of the homeland and the country.

Developing vocational education to meet labor market needs and improve human resource quality is an important goal in the coming time.
