New Women Magazine supports people in difficulty after floods

On the morning of December 9, at the Phu Khe 1 Village Cultural House and Nguyen Chi Thanh Secondary School (Hoa Xuan Commune), New Women Magazine and philanthropists organized a gift and cash donation ceremony for people and students in Hoa Xuan Commune facing difficulties after the flood.

New Women Magazine and philanthropists donated 128 million VND in cash to 100 poor households, 40 seriously ill students, 9 disabled students, 26 poor students whose houses collapsed.

Representatives of local leaders and philanthropists gave gifts to students in difficult circumstances.

Along with that, the delegation also gave many gifts including 69 bicycles (worth more than 93 million VND), 100 notebooks for students, 100 boxes of bird's nest, 100 bags of rice and many other necessities to people in the commune.

Mr. Tran Kim Trong, Vice Chairman of Hoa Xuan Commune People's Committee expressed: "The locality is very grateful for the kindness and social responsibility of the sponsoring group. This is a valuable source of motivation to help people have more motivation to gradually overcome the consequences of natural disasters, rebuild their lives and rise up in the coming time."

Representative of the philanthropist presented a symbolic plaque donating 69 bicycles to Nguyen Chi Thanh Secondary School.

"The locality is committed to receiving and distributing gifts to the right recipients, for the right purposes, and publicly and transparently; ensuring that all support reaches the most disadvantaged households and students," Mr. Trong affirmed.
