Thanks to the above programs and activities, many poor and near-poor households have received timely support, have had the conditions to develop their economy, and escape difficulties. For example, the family of Ms. H Xanh Ecam (in Ya Wăm B hamlet) in 2012 had their house burned down, losing all their property; she, her husband and 6 children fell into poverty, becoming a near-poor household in the hamlet. Faced with that situation, in 2022, the Ea Kiết commune government gave 2 healthy goats to the family to raise a herd and sell breeds; combined with support for loans under the policy for near-poor households, helping her family have the conditions to grow more coffee to increase income. With capital and goats, Ms. H Xanh's family has the conditions to do business, cover living expenses and take care of their children.

Similarly, Ms. H Nga Nie's family (in Ya Wăm A hamlet) is near-poor and has difficult circumstances in the hamlet. With support from the Commune People's Committee for breeding cows, Ms. H Nga Nie and her husband raised and developed the herd. The income from selling breeding cows was used by the couple to invest in growing more coffee, pepper, and raising pigs. Thanks to that, Ms. H Nga's family has risen out of near-poverty and is no longer as difficult as before.
According to statistics up to now, Ea Kiet commune still has 179 poor households, 215 near-poor households (of which 129 are poor households among ethnic minorities, 139 are near-poor households). Party Secretary, Chairman of Ea Kiet Commune People's Council Y Wal Mlo emphasized: The goal and also the key task of the commune in the coming years is to develop the economy, continue to solve social security issues, improve the material and spiritual life of the people. The commune continues to direct the review of poor households, near-poor households; implement projects to replicate poverty reduction models, support livelihoods for people, especially in areas with a large number of ethnic minorities.
