During the training course, participants received updated knowledge on basic HIV/AIDS information; community outreach procedures for HIV prevention; HIV counseling and testing; services for distributing, collecting, and disposing of syringes; distributing and instructing on condom use; services for treating opioid addiction with methadone; and guidance on using record books, referral forms, and reporting program activity results.

This is an important activity in the national and local strategies to control the HIV/AIDS epidemic, aiming towards the United Nations' "95-95-95" target (95% of people living with HIV know their status, 95% of those diagnosed receive ARV treatment, and 95% of those receiving treatment achieve viral load below the suppression threshold), contributing to ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
Through the training, participants enhanced their knowledge and skills in communication, outreach, and advocacy for high-risk individuals to get HIV testing and successfully transition to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and antiretroviral therapy (ARV) services. Simultaneously, it strengthened connections between harm reduction intervention services, methadone treatment, HIV testing, referral, and care for people living with HIV/AIDS. This supports high-risk groups in accessing healthcare services, maintaining treatment, and contributing to the "95-95-95" target and ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
