Ministry of Public Security trains in measurement work in southern provinces

Attending and speaking at the opening ceremony were Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Strategy and History of Public Security - Ministry of Public Security ; on the side of Lam Dong Provincial Police, there was Colonel Tran Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police.

Also attending were 130 students who are leaders, officers and soldiers in charge of measurement, management and use of measuring instruments of the Traffic Police force of the Southern localities.

Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science , Strategy and History of Public Security - Ministry of Public Security, spoke at the opening ceremony.

In his opening speech, Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Strategy and History of Public Security - Ministry of Public Security, emphasized: The organization of this training course aims to fully grasp the provisions of the law on measurement, unify the implementation method in the entire force, and overcome the shortcomings and limitations in the management and use of measuring equipment and means in the past.

The Deputy Director requested that the trainees uphold their sense of responsibility, strictly comply with the rules and discipline of the class; actively exchange and discuss, closely follow the practical work, thereby firmly grasping the process, technical standards, operation, preservation, calibration, safe and effective use of measuring instruments, especially breath alcohol concentration measuring instruments, motor vehicle speed measuring devices, load weighing instruments and group 2 measuring instruments in the field of road traffic.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Tran Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, expressed his joy at the attention and trust shown by the Department of Science, Strategy and History of Public Security - Ministry of Public Security in choosing Lam Dong as the location to organize the training course.

This is also an opportunity for police officers and soldiers of the southern provinces to exchange and share practical experiences, acquire new knowledge about expertise and measurement techniques, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of ensuring traffic order and safety in the provinces and cities.

Through the training course, trainees will be updated and supplemented with knowledge and professional skills in measurement work; raise awareness and responsibility in properly implementing legal regulations; contribute to preventing errors and negativity in the process of inspection and use of measuring instruments, ensuring accuracy and objectivity in handling administrative violations of traffic safety and order.

This is also an important basis for gradually modernizing and standardizing measurement work in the People's Public Security, meeting the requirements of building a regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force.

The training course takes place from December 9 to 12, 2025.
