Training on implementing medical history review and vaccine dose compensation in expanded immunization

For 2 days, December 4-5, 2025, the Center for Disease Control of Ca Mau province coordinated with the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to organize a training course on medical history review and catch-up vaccination in expanded immunization for children preparing to enter preschool and primary school.

Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were Dr. Nguyen Hong Cau, Deputy Director of the Center for Disease Control; Master Nguyen Dac Trung, National Immunization Office, Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and more than 50 delegates who are program managers from regional medical centers in the province.

At the training course, the reporters shared and updated the following contents: Results of the implementation of activities to check medical history and vaccinate children in primary school in 2023-2024; instructions on the process of collecting vaccination records, making a list of children needing vaccination and methods of data management during the implementation process. In addition, the delegates participated in practicing the following contents: Process of making a list of children needing vaccination, Process of reporting and managing data on implementation activities, Practicing forms, reporting on activities of the lines...

The training also highlighted the important role of the Education sector and inter-sectoral coordination in ensuring that all children are fully screened and vaccinated before entering school. This is an activity to increase vaccination coverage and prevent the risk of infectious disease outbreaks in schools.

Through the training course, the regional medical staff strengthened their skills, unified the implementation process, contributed to protecting children's health and ensuring they could go to school safely and healthily.
