The trial is part of the digitalisation of health services by applying technology to provide more accessible and affordable services to people living in remote areas, said Dr Sophon Mekthon, assistant minister of health in Thailand.
According to Dr. Sophon, the device tested weighs 17kg and can carry packages weighing up to 3kg at a maximum speed of 68km/h. In addition, this device can fly continuously for 68 minutes and can operate in rain at less than 10mm/h, guided by satellite communication and can operate nationwide.
