Thanh Hoa is expected to receive more than 1,500 units of blood at the Red Journey in 2025.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The opening ceremony of the Red Journey - Thanh Hoa Red Drops will be held on the morning of July 17 at Conference Center 25B, Hac Thanh Ward.

The Provincial Red Cross Society, along with the 2024 Red Journey volunteer team, visited the martyrs' cemetery at Ham Rong Martyrs' Cemetery.

The Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation has just issued a plan to organize the 13th Red Journey program in 2025.

According to the plan, the "Red Journey" program in Thanh Hoa will be launched from June 10th to July 20th, with the peak period from July 1st to July 20th.

The program launch ceremony and honoring of outstanding voluntary blood donors will be held on the morning of July 17th.

On the morning of July 18, a blood donation drive was held at the 25B Conference Center, Hac Thanh Ward. The program mobilized at least 2,000 volunteers, including officials, civil servants, employees, workers, youth union members, students, soldiers of the armed forces and volunteers to donate blood; expected to receive at least 1,500 units of blood.

Along with blood donation activities, the program will integrate direct propaganda and counseling for at least 1,500 people about voluntary blood donation and thalassemia.

Activities within the Red Journey program will contribute to raising public awareness about voluntary blood donation; encouraging healthy individuals to actively participate in voluntary blood donation; expanding the pool of voluntary blood donors; supporting the development of models and building a reserve force of blood donors; connecting volunteers with blood donors; and educating the younger generation about love, sharing, and contributing to the community.
