According to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, the province currently has 16 border communes, with 41 general education facilities; including 21 primary schools, 17 secondary schools, 1 secondary ethnic boarding school, 1 primary and secondary school, 1 secondary and high school. It is expected that in the 2025-2026 school year, there will be a total of 594 classes, with about 14,504 students.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has requested relevant agencies to determine priority criteria as the basis for the investment portfolio for building primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes.

It is expected that from now until the end of 2025, Thanh Hoa province will build 6 primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes, with a total cost of about 739 billion VND.

Schools to be invested in construction in 2025 include:

Tam Lu Primary and Secondary Boarding School, newly built on an area of about 6 hectares, in Lang village, Tam Lu commune; scale of about 39 classes (1,013 students). Total investment is about 187 billion VND.

Tam Thanh Primary and Secondary Boarding School, with the investment form of renovation, upgrading, and expansion in Mo village, Tam Thanh commune; scale of 26 classes (710 students). Total investment is about 147 billion VND.

Na Meo Primary and Secondary Boarding School, investment form is renovation, upgrading, expansion in Na Meo village, Na Meo commune; scale of 29 classes (632 students). Total investment is about 87 billion VND.

Son Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School. The investment form is renovation, upgrading, and expansion in Xuan Thanh village, Son Thuy commune; scale of 30 classes (750 students). Total investment is about 115 billion VND.

Yen Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School. The investment form is renovation, upgrading, and expansion in Bon village, Yen Khuong commune; scale of 38 classes (962 students). Total investment is about 90 billion VND.

Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School. The investment form is renovation and upgrading in Can village, Bat Mot commune; scale of 20 classes (513 students). Total investment is about 113 billion VND.
