Last night and early this morning (September 27), heavy rain continued to fall in the Northern Delta and Central regions. Specifically, the Northern Delta, Hoa Binh and Quang Binh had moderate rain, with some places having heavy rain; Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh had heavy to very heavy rain.
Rainfall from 8am on September 26 to 8am on September 27 in Hoa Binh province, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh was measured as follows: Quy Chau (Nghe An) 410mm; Thach Xuan (Ha Tinh) 307mm; Thanh Phong (Thanh Hoa) 223mm; Tan Lam (Quang Binh) 191mm; Tan Pheo and Lung Van in Hoa Binh were 172.6mm, 167.6mm respectively...

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that this morning, floods on the Ngan Sau and Ngan Pho rivers (Ha Tinh) reached their peak, with peak flood levels on the Ngan Sau river at Chu Le: 12.89m (2am on September 27), 0.39m above alert level 2; at Hoa Duyet 7.24m (2am on September 27), 0.26m below alert level 1; the Ngan Pho river at Son Diem 11.78m (2am on September 27), 0.28m above alert level 2.
Currently, the flood level of Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho and Gianh rivers is receding, the lower reaches of La river (Ha Tinh) and rivers in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An are rising. The water level at 7:00 a.m. on September 27 on the rivers is as follows: Ngan Pho river at Son Diem is 10.53m, above level 1 0.53m; Gianh river at Dong Tam is 7.7m, above level 1 0.7m; at Mai Hoa is below level 1. Other rivers are still below level 1.
The meteorological agency warned that floods on the Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho and Gianh rivers will continue to recede, while rivers in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and the lower La river will continue to rise. In the next 24-48 hours, the peak flood level on rivers in Nghe An and small rivers in Thanh Hoa will reach level BĐ1 and above BĐ1; the lower Ma river (Thanh Hoa) and La river will remain below BĐ1.
Heavy rain for many hours, soil moisture model shows that some areas in Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh provinces are nearly saturated (over 95%) or have reached saturation state, high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes in many districts in the coming hours.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from now until September 28, Thanh Hoa to Nghe An will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 70-150mm, in some places over 250mm.
During the day and night of September 27, from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places over 50mm. In the afternoon and evening, the South Central and Central Highlands regions will have showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 60mm.
