Removing difficulties in implementing dynamic energy projects

Accordingly, the province is currently implementing several power generation projects, including: the Quang Trach Power Center Project, the Quang Tri Thermal Power Plant Project, and the AMI Savannakhet Wind Power Project. The Quang Trach Power Center project comprises four sub-projects: the Quang Trach Power Center infrastructure, the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, the Quang Trach II LNG Thermal Power Plant, and the Quang Trach III LNG Thermal Power Plant.

According to EVN's report, Quang Tri province has shown interest, provided assistance, directed, and created favorable conditions for the construction of the projects. To continue implementing the projects smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule, EVN requests the Provincial People's Committee to consider supporting several related issues, mainly concerning land clearance, compensation, and resettlement…

Given the difficulties, obstacles, and planned implementation of projects in the coming period, the Provincial People's Committee requests that, for the Quang Tri Thermal Power Plant Project, EVN should agree to organize the steps for selecting an investor; and promptly review and report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for approval so that the investor can proceed with the AMI Savannakhet Wind Power Plant Project (Laos). At the same time, expedite the process of preparing, appraising, and approving feasibility studies for transmission projects invested by EVN Group that have been approved by the Prime Minister, ensuring synchronization with power generation projects in the province, including the import of electricity from the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In particular, priority should be given to the early implementation of investment and construction for the four projects under the list of national important programs, works, and projects in the energy sector, such as: Lao Bao 500kV Substation (Huong Hoa); The 500kV Lao Bao-Quang Tri 2 500kV switching station line, the 220kV Lao Bao (Huong Hoa) 500kV substation line and the connecting 220kV line; Quang Tri 2 500kV switching station.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, highly appreciated the reports from EVN and related units, which clearly analyzed and proposed solutions to the obstacles of each project and construction. He also requested EVN to closely coordinate with relevant units and localities to review implementation plans; and urged localities in the province to proactively coordinate with departments, agencies, and investors to expedite land clearance. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also directed and assigned specific tasks to each local department and agency to work alongside EVN to promptly resolve obstacles for each project, thereby accelerating construction progress and completing power supply projects, bringing many benefits and contributing to socio-economic development for the locality and the country.
