Previously on December 3, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department - Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games presented a donation of 116.5 million VND to the representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. According to Mr. Minh, in response to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Sports Department has launched many fundraising activities to support the people of the Central region and localities affected by storms and floods.
Notably, right before the Vietnamese Sports Delegation entered the 33rd SEA Games campaign, with the spirit of charity that had been strongly spread among each member, athletes, coaches, experts and officials of the Delegation contributed a total of 116.5 million VND to send to people in areas affected by natural disasters.

Receiving the donation, Mr. Cao Xuan Thao, Head of the Social Work Department, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed his respect for the gesture of the Sports Industry and the Vietnam Sports Delegation.
The money raised from the above activities may not be able to immediately help alleviate the difficulties that people in flood-affected areas have had to endure in recent times, but it is proof that Vietnamese Sports always stands with the country. Athletes and coaches will fight fiercely for the country's flag during competitions and are always ready to share the difficulties with their compatriots in times of trouble.
