This afternoon (December 4), a container truck driven by Pham Nguyen Hoang Vu (born in 1990) was carrying four iron blocks (used as counterweights for cranes, industrial lifts, etc.) on National Highway 51 from Ba Ria ward to Tan Phuoc. When turning into the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster, the iron blocks suddenly slipped out of the container and fell onto the road.

At this time, Mr. Bui Dinh Trang (born 1972, living in Dong Nai ) was riding a motorbike in the same direction and could not avoid it in time. He was hit by a block of iron, injured his leg, and was taken to the emergency room.

At the scene, two iron blocks were lying on the edge of the road in front of the car; the motorbike was crushed by a metal block from behind, some parts of the motorbike were broken. Authorities blocked off the area, directed traffic and investigated the cause.

Just a day ago, in Dong Nai, a steel container truck also broke loose while turning down a bridge, spilling tons of steel onto the road and hitting a couple on a motorbike, seriously injuring both of them.
