Professor, Doctor Chu Tuan Nha was born in 1939, in Co Nhue, Hanoi. He has more than 42 years of continuous work in the fields of higher education, science, technology and environment, of which 21 years held important positions at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, now the Ministry of Science and Technology .
During his working time, Professor, Dr. Chu Tuan Nha held many important positions such as: Chairman of the National Council for Science and Technology Policy, Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology, Member of the National Council for Education , Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Committee for UNESCO, Vice Chairman of the State Council for Academic Titles, Vice Chairman of the Mineral Reserves Assessment Council, Chairman of the Vietnam - US Association, Chairman of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association.
During his time as head of the Science , Technology and Environment sector, and later the Science and Technology sector, Professor, Dr. Chu Tuan Nha, together with the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry, gave directions, proposals, and contributed to the training, research, application, and development of science and technology in the country.
The Ministry of Science and Technology said that the funeral of Professor, Doctor Chu Tuan Nha will be held according to the High-level Funeral ceremony. Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung will be the head of the funeral committee.
The funeral service for Professor, Doctor Chu Tuan Nha will be held at 7:05 a.m. on December 7. The memorial service and funeral procession will be held from 9:00 a.m. on December 7 at the National Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The burial ceremony will be held the same day at the Thien Duc Memorial Gate, Phu Tho province.
