Prenn Pass in Da Lat has another landslide, temporarily closed to traffic

On the afternoon of December 4, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police said that due to a landslide from the positive slope, Prenn Pass in Da Lat was temporarily closed to traffic to fix the problem.

At the scene, a large amount of rock and soil from the pine hill collapsed down below, overflowing the Prenn Pass road. The incident made it impossible for vehicles to move through this location.

Currently, the authorities are mobilizing forces and vehicles to urgently clear the above soil and rocks. During this time, all means of transport going down and up to Da Lat will travel through Sacom Tuyen Lam pass.

Meanwhile, at noon of the same day, the investor and construction unit were still trying to mobilize human resources and vehicles to urgently fix the landslide on Mimosa Pass, Da Lat, which occurred late on December 3.

The soil from the hilltop flowed down dozens of meters, overflowing the Mimosa Pass road, on Highway 20. This is the location where the landslide occurred on the evening of November 19, causing this vital pass to be divided in two. After a long period of repair, on November 30, Mimosa Pass in Da Lat was reopened.

The scene of the landslide on the evening of December 3rd, a large amount of rock and soil from above, in the pine forest, had flowed down to the road surface, pushing down the barrier on the negative slope. Since last night until now, the construction unit has used mechanical vehicles to excavate and clear the scene. If rock and soil from above do not continue to fall, it is expected that this afternoon, the repair of this incident will be basically completed.

Currently, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province has divided traffic and temporarily banned vehicles from traveling on Mimosa Pass. Vehicles participating in traffic, going up and down Da Lat through Sacom Tuyen Lam Pass.

Mimosa Pass Dalat is 11km long, one of the main routes going up and down to Dalat. Under normal conditions, this pass is divided into lanes for heavy-duty vehicles.
