On December 4, the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter announced that from December 8, 2025, the unit will start collecting fees at Bach Ma Temple at 76 Hang Buom and Kim Ngan Communal House (42-44 Hang Bac).

Fee collection is implemented according to Resolution No. 66 dated November 27, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Council on amending and supplementing regulations on fees for visiting scenic spots, historical relics and cultural works.
The fee is 20,000 VND/turn/person/location. The fee is collected every day of the week (morning from 8:00 - 12:00; afternoon from 13:30 - 17:30; Friday, Saturday, Sunday evening from 19:00 - 21:00).
Fee payers are domestic and foreign organizations and individuals visiting the two relics.
Exempted from the fee include: People with severe disabilities; children under 16 years old. In cases where it is difficult to determine whether a person is under 16 years old, only any document proving that the person is under 16 years old such as a birth certificate or student card is required. In cases where there is no document to determine that the person is under 16 years old, the height of under 1.3m is applied.

Subjects eligible for a 50% fee reduction include: Seniors (citizen identification card or other identification documents); students aged 16 and over with student cards issued by schools in the national education system in Vietnam.
The implementation of fee collection at relics is considered a necessary solution in the context of relic conservation work in the Old Quarter area increasingly requiring large resources. The revenue will be used for restoration and maintenance of works, improving the quality of explanations, organizing cultural activities and improving the experience for visitors.
