According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early this morning (May 27), localized thunderstorms occurred in the Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that in the late afternoon and evening of May 27, in the Central Highlands and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, with common rainfall of 10-30 mm, and in some places over 50 mm.

Notably, the Central Highlands and the South will have localized heavy rain, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind; heavy rain warnings in the North and Thanh Hoa .

At sea, in the southern area of ​​the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Quang Tri to Hue, the northern and central areas of the East Sea (including the sea area of ​​Hoang Sa archipelago), there have been scattered showers and thunderstorms.

During the day and night of May 27, in the southern Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Quang Tri to Hue, the sea area from Ca Mau to Kien Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago), the central and southern East Sea area (including Truong Sa archipelago) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong winds of level 6-7, and waves over 2 meters high. All ships operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong winds.
