IMPORTANT NOTICE - BIOMETRIC DATA UPDATE

According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN, Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank promulgating regulations on bank card operations and transactions, customers will not be able to make transactions if they have not had BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION or their identification documents have expired.

According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN, Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank promulgating regulations on bank card operations and transactions, customers will not be able to make transactions if they have not had BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION or their identification documents have expired.

Accordingly, for Customers who do not have biometric data, or whose identification documents have expired, or whose data at the bank does not match the data of the Ministry of Public Security ... then:

⚠️ Customers CANNOT USE their payment account and/or bank card if their Identity Document (“ID”) is invalid or has expired.

⚠️ Customers WILL BE INTERRUPTED from money transfer transactions, electronic payments (including Card payments) if they have not completed the biometric information addition.

To help ensure maximum benefits for Customers, SeABank recommends that customers URGENTLY update their identification information and update biometric data according to the following instructions before December 15, 2025 :

To successfully update biometrics, customers need to prepare:

• Identification documents:

+ 12-digit CCCD with chip still valid

+ ID cards are issued from July 1, 2024 according to the new standards of the Ministry of Public Security

• NFC-enabled mobile devices
• In case the Customer is using a different GTTT information than the ID card/CCCD/CC, they need to go to the nearest SeABank transaction point to be instructed on how to add biometric data and update GTTT information.

Note:

• Currently, SeABank only updates biometrics on the SeAMobile application and provides guidance at branches/transaction offices nationwide.
• SeABank staff, when assisting customers in updating data, never send login request links, provide user names, passwords, ID numbers, OTP codes, or any other personal information. SeABank recommends that customers be vigilant against all forms of fraud and scams.
• Customers are advised not to purchase/use external NFC devices at home to avoid information security risks for personal devices.
