Accordingly, the person wearing a traffic police uniform who shouted was an officer from Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station (under PC08). Currently, the authorities have requested the above police officer to write a report on the incident to serve the handling of the case.
Representatives of Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station also contacted reporters of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to share about the above incident for further clarification.
PC08 representative said that they will provide information to reporters as soon as possible.
Previously, social networks shared a clip of a man wearing a traffic police uniform continuously yelling at a girl.
The clip shows this person repeatedly saying to the girl: "Are you deaf or not..."
The girl said, "Yes, I understand. Let me ask my friend...". Then the man replied, "Are you guys kidding me?"
The clip shared by the online community has negatively affected the image of the traffic police force. At the same time, many people expressed sympathy for the girl when she had to endure the harsh words from the man.
To clarify the above information, a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper spoke with the family of the girl in the clip.
According to the girl's family, on February 7, the girl and another person rode a motorbike from Tan An City ( Long An Province) to a college in Ho Chi Minh City to submit their application. Because it was her first time, she used Google Map to find the way. At around 7 p.m. that same day, she returned. When she reached the Nguyen Van Linh overpass (in Ho Chi Minh City), a person in a traffic police uniform asked her to stop because she was entering a prohibited road.
She should have run up to the bridge, but because she didn't know the way, she ran down to the road below the bridge," said the girl's family.
In addition, this person also said that the girl did not bring her driver's license (she had passed the driver's license test but had not yet received it), and the girl was driving a car that was not hers (her father's car).
