After being discharged from the army, Nguyen Le Thanh Long became a reserve officer, continuing to promote the spirit of a soldier in his work and daily life. Graduated with a bachelor's degree in economic law, Long chose to pursue his passion for art, becoming a choreographer and leader of The Youth Dance Group. Together with his colleagues, he regularly supports Army, Police, and Veterans Association units in staging many performances, festivals, and art festivals. With a quick, decisive working style and a passionate spirit for the profession, Nguyen Le Thanh Long is always trusted and loved by officers and soldiers. Although the financial conditions of the units are limited, he still wholeheartedly supports, considering it the joy and responsibility of a close "cultural-artistic friend" of the army. “When choreographing for the army’s programs, I feel like I’m reliving my days in the army. The military environment and the years in the army have trained me in discipline, team spirit and the will to overcome difficulties. Therefore, my performances for the army always show dedication, companionship, support, and always want to build the image of the soldier through the performances,” Nguyen Le Thanh Long shared.
No longer wearing a military uniform, Nguyen Le Thanh Long is still attached to the units with all his heart and affection through dozens of staged programs. He also actively shares experiences, guides, and inspires political cadres at the grassroots about culture and arts. For him, the mass art movement is not only an exchange and entertainment activity but also a task that contributes to nurturing the spirit, emotions, pride, and mettle of a revolutionary soldier. From the stage to everyday life, or when focusing on training reserve officers, Nguyen Le Thanh Long still keeps within himself the flame of enthusiasm, optimism, and love of life, contributing to beautifying the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
