Promoting cooperation on AI and international standards in cybersecurity

On the afternoon of October 26, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony and the High-Level Conference on the Hanoi Convention, a discussion continued with topics on identifying challenges and promoting AI cooperation in cybersecurity.

At the seminar organized by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), international delegates analyzed in depth the role of AI in the current global cybersecurity context.

Experts agree that cybercriminals are abusing AI to automate and increase the sophistication of attacks, typically creating large-scale deepfake scam campaigns.

On the other hand, AI is also an effective "shield" for cyber security forces. However, the rapid development of AI technology is posing a difficult problem for lawmakers, as legal frameworks and management regulations have not kept up with reality./.
