Billionaire Musk sued over $1 million reward

Two voters in the US states of Texas and Michigan have sued billionaire Elon Musk and his America PAC political action committee for fraud, according to Bloomberg.

Before the US presidential election, the billionaire offered $1 million a day to anyone who signed his petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms. The winner was chosen “at random” from those who signed the petition.

But according to testimony from America PAC’s treasurer in court, winners were chosen based on their personal stories and had to sign a contract to be spokespeople for the committee supporting Donald Trump. The plaintiffs are seeking an undisclosed amount of damages and have asked America PAC to delete their data. The defendants have not commented.
