In recent days, Typhoon No. 3 has caused significant damage to both people and property in the northern provinces, including Phu Tho province. The typhoon has severely damaged crops and agricultural produce in the province.

Representatives of the Vietnam Seed Trade Association and its member units presented seeds to representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
To date, the total area of crops damaged throughout the province is nearly 7,000 hectares, including nearly 2,000 hectares of rice, over 2,000 hectares of corn and vegetables, nearly 200 hectares of perennial fruit trees, and 31 hectares of industrial crops with over 70% damage, while the remaining area suffered damage ranging from 30-70%.
Upholding the tradition of solidarity, mutual support, and compassion of the Vietnamese people, the Vietnam Seed Trade Association and its member units donated 415kg of seeds, mainly vegetable seeds, to Phu Tho province to promptly support and encourage localities in the province to restore production after the storm.
This is a meaningful and practical activity, demonstrating the compassion and sense of responsibility of businesses towards localities affected by natural disasters. With this support, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development commits to working with relevant agencies and localities to distribute the funds to Ha Hoa, Cam Khe, and Phu Ninh districts as quickly and effectively as possible, ensuring that the funding and support reach the right recipients, helping farmers ensure timely planting and rebuild production in the winter crop season.
